I've been tagged!

This is the first time I have been tagged, so here ya go...

I had just moved to Las Vegas with my mom and my older brother and I have to admit that I was a total tomboy. I think we all go through that stage at some point. I was in 6th grade and I absolutely hated it here. Then about 6 months later I met by best friend Brianna and it soon became better.

Snacks I Enjoy...
Craisins, those really good organic fruit roll-up wannabe things from Smith's, Skittles, Jolly Rancher Slurpees from Fabulous Freddy's, Cheetos (the puffy ones)

5 Things on my To-do List Today...
*Get my stuff done at work
*Try to narrow down paint colors for our house
*Start some laundry
*Figure out what to make for dinner
*Vacuum

Things I Would do if I were Suddenly a Billionaire...
*Build a custom home with a BIG kitchen
*Pay off my car
*Buy Eric the new truck he wants
*Hire a maid
*Share the money with family
*Spoil all our nieces and nephews like crazy
*Go on a major shopping spree at the mall
*Get weekly spa treatments
*Go on a vacation to Europe
*Ok, really my list could go on and on

3 of my Bad Habits...
*I am really bad at putting off house work, ask my husband and he will totally agree. I despise doing laundry, and cleaning my closet (maybe that's why I can't find anything).
*I can never seem to keep my car clean, it needs to be washed so bad, and it will probably be that way for awhile...so sad =(
*I tend to chew with my mouth open when I eat crunchy things, like potato chips and what not. It drives Eric crazy when I do it.

5 Places that I've Lived...
*Evanston, WY
*Missoula, MT
*Las Vegas, NV
That's it no where else

5 Jobs that I've had...
*Pizza Hut where I worked with Eric and Brianna those were fun times
*CVS Pharmacy, it was alright but I was glad to leave
*Beazer Homes, got laid off when things started to slow down
*Sunworld Landscape. great people but it just got old I guess
*Great Basin Developers, even though it is in Boulder City it's still worth it

Things People Don't Know About Me...
*I am a little OCD with certain things. Embarrasing to admit but I have to select each piece of food that I eat, there are certian things I will do twice in a row or I have to take two of something, I eat the outside of my sandwhiches & hamburgers first and then save the middle for last and there are more quircky things but I think that is enough for now
*Tuna Casserole with lots of cheese on top is my favorite meal to eat, but I don't hardly eat it anymore because Eric can't stand it
*I was pretty much a straight A student in school, but I really didn't like school at all
*I almost got in a fight in 8th grade with a girl but I walked away after just telling her off
*When people first meet me they don't like me and think I am a...well I have had quite a few people tell me that anyway, some of which are now my best friends
*I played the flute from 5th through 8th grade, and quit when I started high school because being in band just wan't that "cool" anymore. I still have my flute though but I can't seem to remember all the notes to play it anymore.
*I first met Eric in 9th grade and had a little crush on him, then I couldn't stand to be around him, then I hooked him up with one of my friends my Sophmore year and became jealous. He asked me to go "out" with him my Junior year and at the time I was seeing two other guys, but chose him...awww. We were best friends before we started dating and we hung out all the time, and we dated for almost 4 years before we were married. And now here we are 9 years later and even though we may disagree at times we still love hanging out with each other.

Well, that's it I did it!

Way Harder Than We Thought

Time for an update on the detox thing...all I have to say is that it was way harder than either of us expected. Technically today is day 4 out of 7 and we have already cheated. =( We started this on Saturday (day 1) and all you can have is juice and water. So we went shopping and bought all kinds of fruits to make our juices...

Now, don't get me wrong the juices were delicious and I absolutely love our juicer, but it is so hard to only drink liquids for 24 hours!! We were both missing our ability to chew solid foods, and the hardest part was sitting there feeling hungry and not being able to do anything about it but drink another glass of juice. So Eric decided that he was tired of fruit and he decided that he was going to make a vegetable drink. It consisted of a green pepper, 1/2 a cucumber, celery, and a green apple for sweetness, (like that was going to help it right?) Well, look at it and tell me you would drink this. He chugged it down and I did try it and it was not all that good. I think I even gagged a little, so needless to say we stuck with the fruits.

The "diet" does say that you can have broths too, so for dinner Eric decided he was going to make a vegetable broth, only we had to throw away the vegetables because all you can have is the broth. Well, maybe if he hadn't put so much pepper in it, maybe it would have been ok, but it didn't satisfy the craving either of us had

Now it is Sunday (day 2) and we can add solid fruits along with the juice and the water. Well, it was nice to be able to chew again, but do you know how hard it is to become full eating fruits? It was quite yummy though, but again it was hard to become full. So for breakfast we had a plate full of different fruits and a glass of juice. We ate this and then we went to the boat & rv show down at Cashman Field, big mistake, everywhere we walked there were people grilling and eating food. We would just turn and walk the other way, well eventually we left and then went to Eric's parents house like we usually do on Sundays and well, we ended up eating dinner there.

Now, today would technically be day 4 and we would be able to add cooked vegetables and brown rice, which we will be eating those things anyway, just not by themselves. I have to say though on the positive side of things my skin is feeling really good, it is softer and fresher looking and I think I might have even lost a couple of pounds, but it was definitely harder than we thought it would be. I think we will try it again, now that we know what we are in for, but for now we both agreed that we would still continue eating the fruits and veggies and drinking the juice, but not to that extent.. For anyone out there who would like to try it I would be more than happy to share it with you and I would definitely support you all the way.

Juice Anyone?

Eric and I have decided to try this 7 day detoxing thing where the first day you drink nothing but juice (that you make with real fruits), and then each day you gradually add in things. Well, for those of you who know us you know that this will be hard for me who loves food and hard for my husband who loves Chipotle and Dr. Pepper! Well, we are going to give it a try starting this weekend, so we went out and got this juicer from Costco last night. I have to say that it works really good and the juices that you can make with it are REALLY good

A True Traffic Jam

Ok, so last weekend we went down to California to help Eric's aunt with some work on her house. Well, we thought we were doing well with leaving at 2:00...yeah right! We were about half way between Barstow and Baker when all of a sudden the traffic was stopped, well we ended up sitting on the freeway for about two and a half hours. We sat through three flight for lifes landing, three cop cars, and a fire truck. So here are some pics of our experience...

My Valentine

Last night we went out for Valentine's Day with some friends of ours. Us girls' planned the whole thing and I have to say that I think we did a good job. We had a delicious dinner at The Steakhouse inside the New York New York and then we went to the Venetian to ride the Gondulas and then it was off to Haggan-Daaz for dessert.

And then I was suprised with these on Valentine's Day...
